Information: Laurence Jenkell, known as JENK, is a self-taught French contemporary artist internationally acclaimed for her iconic "Wrapping Bonbon" sculptures. A Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, she lives and works on the French Riviera and opened her gallery-studio in Monaco in 2022. Since the mid-1990s, she has mastered the technique of "wrapping" — a distinctive twist of materials inspired by candy wrappers — which became her artistic signature. Through vibrant, large-scale sculptures crafted in plexiglass, bronze, aluminum, marble, Murano glass, and more, JENK explores themes of childhood, memory, and universality. Her work bridges the sensuality of material with deep cultural reflection, and her candy motif has become a powerful and joyful visual language recognized worldwide.
