WALTER M - Cabaret Poodle

Technique: Lenticular Print

Edition: of 8

Dimensions: 100 x 100 x 4 cm

Information: M Walter began his career at 18, assisting various fashion and advertising photographers, including Jean-François Aloïsi and Fred Carol. Concurrently, he studied Fine Arts in Paris. He photographed Haute Couture shows for Nina Ricci, Torrente, and Hanae Mori and captured numerous celebrity portraits, including Sonia Rykiel, Emma Thompson, Dustin Hoffman, and Garry Kasparov, for international magazines. A pivotal encounter with Sophie Bernardin, then director of Crazy Horse, enabled him to develop a unique body of photographic work, leading to his debut exhibition in Paris, later showcased in Singapore.

Since 2004, Mathieu Walter has exhibited regularly in Paris, Geneva, London, Monaco, Megève, Cannes, Gstaad, Verbier, and Venice. He has also explored other artistic realms, including contemporary art and kinetic art.

Information about the artwork : Appearing spectacularly within a single square frame that serves as its wide stage, here suddenly is the Poodle, revealed under the spotlight.
And in its one-dog-show performance, it plays with the light and transforms through gentle color transitions depending on the viewer’s position. The animation is created by an optical effect, making it entirely self-sufficient.
